Apart from good controllability, this shoe also combines lightness and performance with a precise fit. This makes the Gravita Tensor Flat a light and agile, but also robust racing shoe in the mountain bike sector. Its Gravita outsole offers exactly the kind of connection needed for fast and aggressive Gravity riding. The grippiest Vibram® Megagrip rubber compound is combined with a special zonal lug pattern. A shallow, tapered profile positioned in the midfoot area provides direct contact and optimal mechanical connection with the pedal pins, while under the heel and toes a deeper, sharper profile provides better ground traction when going back uphill on foot.

This flat pedal version is more flexible and can adapt to the pedal for maximum grip. Designed for minimal foot roll, it has a widened bottom to provide plenty of contact with wide platform pedals and more even load distribution. For the Tensor, Fizik designed an ergonomic lacing system that hugs the foot and distributes power evenly across the pedal. A powerstrap over the instep provides a secure fit, stabilizes the arch and locks the heel in place while keeping laces at bay. In its development, a conscious effort was made to reduce weight and remove excess material that would otherwise lead to the clunky look and baggy fit of a standard Gravity shoe. To avoid this, the Tensor has a slim silhouette and minimal weight through the use of innovative rip-stop outer materials and an inner lining that is far less bulky than traditional alternatives. An injection-molded TPU-armored toe box fends off rocks and boulders, while the raised inner ankle profile and a rugged laminated scuff guard protect along high-wear areas.
